Andrew Stuart (Wareham, England)
Ambassador Andrew Stuart has been a missionaries’ child in Africa, a Naval Rating, Cambridge Graduate, Barrister, Colonial Administrator, High Court Judge, Diplomat, Ambassador, International College Principal and Chairman of a £100 million company. His book, Of Cargoes Colonies and Kings was described by Lord Carrington as “one of the best books I have read for a long time.” As a colonialist he served in Uganda until Idi Amin appeared. Thereafter, as a diplomat, he was variously in charge of the departments of South Asia, the Indian Ocean and Hong Kong. He served in Indonesia, steered the New Hebrides to Independence, despite the French, and ended as British Ambassador to Finland. His hobbies are, (or were), sailing, gliding, climbing, diving, squash and Real Tennis.
Bill Miller (Secaucus, NJ)
Bill Miller is considered an international authority on the subject of ocean liners & cruise ships. This includes those great ships of the past, those “floating palaces,” as well as the current generation of cruise ships, the “floating resorts”. Called “Mr. Ocean Liner,” he has written over 60 books on the subject: from early steamers, immigrant ships and liners at war to other titles on their fabulous interiors, in post card form and about the highly collectible artifacts from them.
Ralf Vargas (Reno, NV)
Colonel (Ret.) Ralf Vargas’ 30-year career with the U.S. Army afforded him unique opportunities to develop his expertise in European Affairs. He spent sixteen years in overseas assignments, culminating in a 3-year assignment to NATO Diplomatic Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium where he shed his uniform and assumed the role of a diplomat. As the Chief of the NATO Situation Center he was responsible for world-wide Crisis Management. Post military life took him to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he taught for five years. He now travels extensively on the geo-political lecture circuit with his continually evolving series, The Changing Face of Europe, which includes an examination of "The European Union," "NATO’s Role on the World Stage," and "Russia Today." A popular speaker known for his dynamic enthusiasm, his goal is to simplify the headlines and provide his audience with a basis for following the facts with interest and ease.

Passport To Music presented by Yamaha and Crystal Cruises: Instructor Rhonda Ringering (Forest Grove, OR) teaches an innovative and fun course as an introduction to keyboard playing for adults. Tradition and technology meet in harmony to create this progressive piano-style program. With an emphasis on hands-on learning using Yamaha's exciting portable keyboards supported by the Clavinova digital piano, guests learn nearly a dozen songs during the cruise. An overview of general musical skills, including listening skills and note reading is included, as well as fun group activities such as music trivia and name that song. Passport To Music is designed for those with little or no previous keyboard experience.
