Shipboard Positions - Entertainment - Production Team Ensemble Lead Vocalist, Ensemble Dancer, Ensemble Singer-DancersCrystal Cruises' lavish, Broadway-style productions have received numerous accolades and coveted industry awards. While we do hold live auditions periodically (advertising in trade publications with our tour cities and dates), we welcome submissions via the post throughout the year. Talent 21 years of age and older is welcome to submit promotional materials. Submissions must be mailed and not e-mailed; submissions sent via e-mail will not be reviewed. Following is a detailed outline of criteria and benefits for ensemble vocalists and dancers. Female Dancers and Male Dancers and Male Dancer-Singers Video tapes should highlight strong ballet technique, along with jazz and tap. We also look for adagio and acrobatic experience. Female dancers are needed 5'6"-5'9"; male dancers and male dancer-singers are needed 5'9"-6'2". Male Dancer-Singers should include in their tapes two musical selections: one up-tempo and one ballad. Lead Female Vocalist We are looking for females 5'6"-5'9" in height, with dress sizes of 4-10. You must have dance ability for set choreography. Legit Soprano range: E-3 to F-4; Belt range: A-2 to C-4. Age Range: 23-40 Please submit a video tape showcasing the stated registers, along with a traditional musical theatre (or opera) piece in your head voice and a big Broadway-style belt. We also need to see movement on your video. Lead Male Vocalist We are looking for males 5'10"-6'4", with Jacket sizes 40R-42L. You must have movement ability for set choreography. Tenor and Baritone range: F-1 to C-3; occasional G-3. Age Range: 25-40 Please submit a video tape showcasing a big Baritone voice. We are looking for legitimate musical theatre voices that are able to sing several styles of music, including Opera, musical theatre, '40s Jazz, and '50s Rock and Roll. Please submit a big ballad and an up-tempo. We also need to see movement on your video. Benefits for Ensemble Talent Yearly contracts and compensation; paid rehearsals and vacations; medical benefits; onboard officer status with single cabin; elegant six-star cruising worldwide destinations. As cruise lines are not governed by any union jurisdiction, union and non-union talent may work at sea without threat to their status. Initial rehearsal period ranges from 8-10 weeks in Los Angeles, California, on a paid rehearsal contract; lodging and transportation are provided. Performance contracts will commence once on board the vessel, offering year-round compensation. |
