He has owned hotels in Costa Rica and America, a pepper gas business in South Africa, an ATM firm, a global software firm, a mobile home venture in South Africa and a global consulting firm focused on business growth and profit and other ventures. Tom Faranda's global trends have been on target for over 25 years. He forecasted the rise and fall of Japan, the rise and fall of the Euro and the rise of China as a world power as well as many other trends. Tom brings global events and affairs into perspective and provides a view into the future of our world.

Bill Miller (Secaucus, NJ)
Bill Miller is considered an international authority on the subject of ocean liners and cruise ships. This includes those great ships of the past, those "floating palaces," as well as the current generation of cruise ships, the "floating resorts." Called "Mr. Ocean Liner," he has written over 60 books on the subject - from early steamers, immigrant ships and liners at war to other titles on their fabulous interiors, in post card form and about the highly collectible artifacts from them.

Want to take your home movies to the next level? Post your mini-blockbusters or vacation videos to Facebook or YouTube? In five fun classes, learn how to shoot and edit short movies using an iPad. Improve your video and photo skills. The course is taught by professionals, but aimed at non-professionals.
Course requirements:
please bring your own iPad and pre-load the iMovie application prior to boarding. If you do not already own the iMovie app for iOS, you must have iOS6 in order to purchase and download iMovie ($4.99) from the App Store. You cannot download the app on board the ship. Due to the hands-on nature of this unique program, class size is limited to 20 participants. Please sign up online using Priority Check-in & Planning Center (PCPC). If you sign up on board, make sure to sign up EARLY.

Crystal Cruises is the only cruise line to offer a Nordic Walking program to help you get more out of your limited exercise time on board. The use of lightweight poles for stability and balance will facilitate your fitness needs even if you have knee or hip issues. Two specially designed adjustable poles work the upper body while walking. Like cross country skiing, the poles are used by the arms to match each step the person takes. Our Fitness Staff will guide you to quickly be deck-walking for fun and fitness. You will be using feather weight aluminum poles provided by the market leader, LEKI®.

R. Bruce Murray (Deep Cove, Nova Scotia)
Bruce Murray has been a C.P.G.A. member for over 40 years serving the C.P.G.A. as a Director, as well as serving as chairman of many association portfolios. He has been a Head Professional/Director of Golf at five clubs in his career the most prominent being Royal Montréal, Shaughnessy in Vancouver and now Wildfire in Lakefield, Ontario. Bruce's responsibilities have varied within the scope of the various clubs, but teaching has been and remains his main passion. He has taught students of every level, from novices to professionals and leading amateurs. Bruce is now retired from the private club life and lives outside Halifax, Nova Scotia.
