James Bradley (Rye, NY)
James Bradley is a New York Times number one best-selling author and a son of John Bradley, who raised the flag on Iwo Jima. Joe Rosenthal’s Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph of that event is the world’s most reproduced photo. Clint Eastwood told their father-son story in his movie, Flags of Our Fathers. He attended Sophia University in Tokyo and is the president of the James Bradley Peace Foundation, which for the last decade has been sending American students to China and Japan to live for a year. America’s best-selling Pacific historian, his first book, Flags of Our Fathers, chronicled the island-hopping campaign and the battle of Iwo Jima; his second, Flyboys, detailed the air war and the dramatic story of George Herbert Walker Bush’s close escape from capture and death; his third, The Imperial Cruise, tells the story of how President Theodore Roosevelt concluded secret agreements in 1905 that lit the long historical fuse on World War II in the Pacific; and his fourth, New China (to be published late 2014) tells how perceptions of China in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt administration led the United States to war with Japan. An acclaimed professional speaker who has entertained thousands, James brings Pacific history alive.

Carole Klein (Hong Kong, China)
Although originally from Memphis, TN, Carole Klein has called Hong Kong home for over nineteen years. She is equally at home on board ship, having spent 15 years in the luxury cruise industry. Carole's extensive shipboard travels include seven World Cruises which lead to her becoming a confessed 'Shopaholic' and to a series of talks entitled 'Shopaholics Anonymous' on some of the world's greatest shopping meccas. Appropriately enough, Carole's favorite travel and shopping destinations are in Asia. Of course, Hong Kong is at the top of her list!
In 1995, Carole decided to 'drop anchor' when she moved to Hong Kong to join one of the world's top hotels, The Regent, as Director of Public Relations. The hotel rebranded to InterContinental Hong Kong in 2001 and is now the Asia-Pacific flagship for InterContinental Hotels Group. As Director of Public Relations & Communications, Carole serves as the hotel's spokesperson and oversees international media relations and promotions for the internationally acclaimed property, which is celebrated as a destination for exceptional dining. In her job she is constantly sharing her insider knowledge of Hong Kong with visiting overseas media and guests. She is also on the pulse of what's happening in the city from local journalists and foodies.
